That means very low ongoing shrinkage, so fine detail stays accurate over the life of the mould, and a much longer library life — platinum cure moulds can be reused for years, compared to roughly 12 months for a typical tin-cure rubber. It's also FDA-compliant for food and skin contact, which is why it's suited to soap and candle moulds as well as life-casting work.
