How to Get Better Results in Cold Weather

Place sealed resin bottles in warm (not boiling) water for 10–20 minutes before opening. This brings the resin closer to its ideal viscosity and makes mixing significantly easier. Dry bottles thoroughly before opening to avoid introducing moisture. Never microwave resin or place bottles near an open flame.

Warm the workspace, not just the resin

If you pour warmed resin into a cold room, it cools again within minutes. Your workspace needs to reach 20°C or above before you start — and stay there for the full cure period, which may be 12–24 hours in winter. A portable electric heater works well; close off the space and reduce drafts.
