How to use Fast Cure Epoxy Resin

1
Measure 1:1
Measure equal parts Part A (resin) and Part B (hardener) by volume, not by weight.
2
Mix thoroughly
Mix slowly for 4 minutes in a straight-sided, flat-bottomed container with a flat mixing stick, scraping the sides and base until the mix is crystal clear with no streaks.
3
Let it de-air
Leave the mixed resin to sit for about 2 minutes so air can rise out.
4
Pour
Pour into your mould or onto your piece, up to 15 mm per layer.
5
Release bubbles and demould
Pass a butane torch over the surface without touching the resin. Most pieces can be demoulded after about 4 hours.
Pour up to 15 mm per layer. For deeper pieces, pour in layers.

FAQs

What does a 1:1 mixing ratio mean?+
Measure equal parts resin (Part A) and hardener (Part B) by volume, not by weight. For example, 100mL of Part A with 100mL of Part B.
How long before I can demould?+
Most pieces can be demoulded in about 4 hours. Full cure takes 8–10 hours, and longer for thin pours.
What is the working time?+
You get about 15–20 minutes of working time at 20 °C, so mix only what you can pour in that time.
How thick can I pour Fast Cure Epoxy Resin?+
Pour 1–15 mm per layer. For deeper pieces, pour in layers.
Can I use it in silicone moulds?+
Yes. It is made for moulds and small casting projects such as pendants, earrings, key rings, medallions and coasters.
Can I use it for doming and flower preservation?+
Yes. It works as a clear doming resin and for setting dried flowers and small objects.
How do I get rid of bubbles?+
After mixing, let the resin sit for about 2 minutes to de-air. Once poured, pass a butane torch over the surface without touching the resin.
How much heat can it handle once cured?+
Once fully cured, it is heat resistant up to 80 °C.
Fast Cure or Art Resin Epoxy 1:1?+
Choose Fast Cure for moulds, jewellery and small castings you want to demould quickly. For canvas coating and resin art that needs a longer working time, choose Art Resin Epoxy 1:1.
