Chartreuse Green epoxy pigment paste turns clear epoxy resin into a bright yellow-green. It is a highly concentrated, lightfast green pigment in a 30mL jar, and it disperses easily in epoxy resin and in Solid Cast 660 Polyurethane Casting Resin. Use it for botanical resin art, solid green castings and bright feature pours. Add 2–5% to your mixed resin. A little goes a long way.

What Chartreuse Green does in resin

Leaves, moss and botanical pieces
Chartreuse Green sits between yellow and green, which suits new leaves, moss, tropical foliage and citrus tones.
Solid green castings
Dose close to 5% for a bright, solid green in moulds, coasters and trays.
Feature pours and river tables
Pour a bright green river or inlay in River Resin Deep Cast Epoxy. Test on an offcut first, because the timber colour changes how the green reads.

How to colour epoxy resin green

1
Stir the paste
Pigment can settle in the jar over time, so stir it before each use.
2
Mix your resin first
Measure your resin and hardener at the correct ratio and mix them thoroughly before adding any colour.
3
Add the paste a little at a time
Start at about 2% and work up to 5% at most. You can always add more, but you can't take colour out.
4
Mix until even
Mix until the colour is completely even, scraping the sides and base of the cup.
5
Pour
Pour as normal. Viscosity varies from colour to colour across the range because each pigment is different.
Stay within 5%. Too much pigment can leave the resin soft or tacky.

FAQs

How do I make epoxy resin green?+
Mix your resin and hardener first, then stir in Chartreuse Green epoxy pigment paste at 2–5% of the combined volume. Close to 5% gives the strongest, most solid green.
How much green pigment paste do I add to resin?+
Use 2–5% of your combined resin and hardener. As a guide, that is 2 grams of paste per 100mL of mixed resin. Start small and add more until the colour is as strong as you want. Do not go above 5%.
What colour is Chartreuse Green?+
Chartreuse Green is a bright yellow-green, halfway between yellow and green.
Does pigment paste affect how epoxy resin cures?+
Not within the recommended 2–5%. Overdosing is what causes problems. Too much pigment can leave resin soft, tacky or cloudy. Always mix your resin and hardener at the correct ratio before adding colour.
Can I use this pigment paste in polyurethane resin?+
Yes. It works in Solid Cast 660 Polyurethane Casting Resin at the same 2–5% dose, or 2 grams per 100mL of combined product.
Can I use Chartreuse Green pigment paste in UV resin?+
No. Epoxy pigment paste is not designed for UV resin. This paste is made for two-part epoxy resin and Solid Cast 660 Polyurethane Casting Resin.
Not suitable for UV resin. Epoxy pigment paste is not designed for UV resin.

Pigment paste vs other colourants

vs mica powder
Pigment paste gives a solid, flat colour. Mica powder gives a pearly shimmer rather than a flat colour. Choose paste when you want strong, even colour.
vs alcohol ink
Alcohol inks give transparent colour and are known to fade in sunlight. Chartreuse Green is a solid colour made with lightfast pigment.
vs acrylic paint
Acrylic paint contains water, which can interfere with curing and leave streaks. Pigment paste is made to mix into resin.

Safety & storage

Protection
A mask and protective wear must be worn at all times.
Ventilation
Use in a well-ventilated area only.
Storage
Store the jar sealed, in a cool place away from direct sunlight.
Before each use
Stir the paste, because pigment can settle in the jar.
