How to use Resin Art 609

Set up
Make sure the object is clean and dry. Set it up on a plastic-covered surface and check it is level with a spirit level.

Measure 1:1
Measure 1 part A to 1 part B by volume.

Mix
Mix in a straight-sided, flat-bottomed container (not an ice cream container) with a flat, ruler-shaped stick. Scrape the sides and base until the mix is crystal clear and free of streaks.

Pour
Pour over your piece and let it self level. Add pigments or dyes for a deep 3D glass art look.

Cure
At 20 °C, allow about 1 day to cure and about 3 days for full cure.

Safety & storage

Protection
Wear protective gloves and glasses when mixing and using. Always wear a mask when using any solvent cleaner.
Ventilation
Work in a well-ventilated area. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Over-exposure may cause sensitisation.
Storage
Keep caps on bottles when not in use. Store at room temperature (approx. 18 °C), away from direct sunlight and not on concrete floors.
Clean-up
Clean tools and surfaces with orange citrus solvent, methylated spirits or a resin cleaner. If resin gets on your skin, wipe it off and wash with soap and water. Never use solvents on skin.

Excellent finish coat resin

It has a lower viscosity than other 1 to 1 resins. I've always had trouble with uresin liquid glass and diamond coat, with visual dust settling on the surface, even with the room settling out with no air current for 2 hours, before a pour. With art resin 609, I hardly notice any dust on the cured finish surface. I'm thinking it being more liquid, any particles settling, become part of the resin, rather than sitting on top.
The resin takes longer to cure than all the other resins I have used, it says it has a working time of 20 minutes, but I'm thinking it's more like an hour. I acually pull the tape at 80 minutes after the pour, cause I only have a 12 mm drop side.
I'll be using this resin always from now on.
