Solid Solutions Mixing Fluid is a water-based medium made to be mixed with pearlescent mica powder pigments. It comes in a 250ml bottle bottle and turns mica powder into a highly pigmented, flexible shimmer paint you can apply to paper, card, wood, ceramic and canvas. Stir the mica powder in slowly to avoid bubbles, then brush it on for a smooth, shimmering finish. Add extra fluid and water for a lighter, translucent wash.

How to use Mixing Fluid with mica powder

Shake before use
Give the bottle a gentle shake to make sure the fluid is properly mixed before you start.

Stir in the mica powder slowly
Add mica powder to the fluid a little at a time, stirring gently to avoid creating bubbles.

Brush it on
Apply with a soft hair brush, moving back and forth across the surface for an even, shimmering coat.
