How to varnish an acrylic painting

Let the painting dry completely
Make sure your acrylic painting is completely dry before varnishing.

Shake the bottle
Gently shake the bottle to get the right consistency.

Apply with a flat brush
Use a good flat-edged brush and apply an even coat across the painting.

Build up 2–3 coats
For best results apply two to three coats, allowing 24 hours drying time between each coat.

Wash your brush with soap and water straight after use.
Always test a small amount first
