Suitable for making delicate intricate impression moulds, masks, soap moulds, candle molds. Ideal for fine detailed moulds used in conjuncton with Solid Cast 660 Polyurethane for producing plastic models, figurines, jewellery and prototype parts.
Silicone Rubber is suited to small to larger moulding and casting work used in conjunction with concrete or plaster to produce figurines, garden ware and precast building elements.

How to Use

Measure equal parts of Part A and Part B by volume (by weight for the Silicone Putty).

Mix thoroughly in a straight-sided, flat-bottomed container with a flat ruler-shaped mixing stick, scraping the sides and base.

Pour over your master model within the pot life window (20 – 30 minutes @ 25°C).

Demould after the cure time. For large casting moulds, leave to set for at least 12 hours before demoulding.
Storage & Safety
Work in a well-ventilated area. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wear protective gloves and glasses when mixing and using. Over-exposure may cause sensitization. Uncured material can be removed with a solvent or methylated spirit followed by washing with warm soapy water. Always wear a mask when using any solvent cleaner.

What's the mixing ratio for Solid Solutions Silicone Rubber?+
The liquid silicone kits (Standard and Translucent) mix 1:1 by volume, Part A to Part B. The Silicone Putty mixes 1:1 by weight, kneaded together by hand.
How long does it take to cure and demould?+
The liquid silicone kits cure in around 2 hours at 25°C (2 – 3 hours for Translucent), with demoulding typically possible 2 to 4 hours after pouring. The Silicone Putty cures much faster, in 15 – 30 minutes.
What's the difference between the Standard and Translucent silicone?+
Standard silicone cures pink with a firmer 30A shore hardness, well suited to a wide range of moulding and casting work. Translucent silicone cures at a softer, more flexible 20A shore hardness and lets you see the model through the finished mould.
What sizes are available?+
Standard silicone comes in 500mL, 1L, 2L, 4L, 10L and 20L kits. Translucent silicone comes in 500mL, 1L, 2L, 4L and 10L kits. A 400g Silicone Putty kit is also available for small, detailed moulding jobs.
